This is a pleasant paddle in quiet waters ideal for novices.
The lakes are surrounded by housing, but there are a number of public access points around the lakes, however, the best for launching canoes and kayaks is the CM Thorpe Reserve which has lawns and toilets and a sandy beach to launch from.
Note: The local paddling club runs a handicap race on the first Saturday of every month. All comers welcome.
